Our Story

Prepped Parent was founded by Allicia Cross in 2025, to fill the gap for parents who care deeply, but don’t always have the capacity to craft every detail from scratch.

Where it began

In 2023, the life that I (and my two very young children) knew was upended, as I went through divorce. I rebuilt my home, my routines, my work life, and my support system — all while raising two young children and navigating the realities of single parenthood. It was a season filled with decisions, logistics, emotional load, and constant change.

Somewhere in the middle of it all, I hit true decision fatigue. I could handle the critical choices — housing, finances, schooling — but I had no energy left for the small, joyful details.

Except my children still needed them. They had already lost so much, and I refused to let the magic disappear too.

The gap I couldn’t ignore

I searched for simple, beautiful, ready-to-use solutions for childhood traditions — Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, school milestones. But everything online solved only part of the problem. Nothing considered the whole experience or the reality of modern family life.

What I wanted didn’t exist:

  • Something thoughtful
  • Something complete
  • Something that removed the mental load, not added to it
  • Something that still felt beautiful and meaningful to my children

When I shared my frustration online, so many friends echoed it. So I decided to create it.

Why we're here

I work full-time, I’m a single parent, I’m deeply involved in school life… I live the same reality as many of the families we serve. I know how precious time is and how heavy the mental load can feel.

Prepped Parent exists to lighten that load.
